Hi, I’m Julian Knox — a graphic designer based in Portland, Oregon.
I help brands and creatives bring their ideas to life through thoughtful, modern design. With a background in visual communication and several years of hands-on experience, I’ve worked on everything from brand identities and logo systems to digital layouts and print materials.

Award-Winning Concept: Design That Reimagines What’s Possible
Echo Type Lab began as a personal exploration into how typography could go beyond static forms to capture motion and sound. I set out to create a type system inspired by audio frequencies — where each letterform reflected the rhythm, pattern, or energy of a sound wave.
The result was a dynamic visual language combining layered transparencies, generative patterns, and kinetic-style letterforms. The system was applied across posters, digital screens, and AR experiments, creating an identity that felt alive and immersive.
Awarded 2024 Experimental Typography Award for pushing the boundaries of type design and blending audio-visual elements into a unified creative system.
